Most hernias occur in the thighs or groins. These types of hernias that occur in the groins are referred to as inguinal hernias. An inguinal hernia can be repaired by an open hernia surgery or a laparoscopic hernia surgery. A laparoscopic hernia surgery will cost you more compared to the open hernia surgery. This is because it is safer and produces fast results. Patients who undergo a laparoscopic surgery heal faster than those who undergo an open surgery.
